Bio

“Dan” Richardson was very active in all aspects of the citrus industry for more than forty years. He was a long-time member and chairman of various organizations, and was broadly recognized for his contributions both in membership and leadership not only in the citrus industry, but within his community as well.

He was Chairman of the Board of Gracewood, Inc., and Gracewood Fruit Company, which he joined in 1946. At that time, the company had four employees and 160 acres of citrus. Listed among his many contributions to the industry are past presidencies of the Indian River Citrus League and the Florida Production Managers Association. A past member of the Florida Citrus Commission, he was its Chairman for half of his nine-year tenure.

Richardson died on December 17, 2014 in Vero Beach, Florida.
