Students interested in pursuing careers related to citrus are encouraged to apply for the new FMC Citrus Ag Production Scholarship (FMC CAPS) program. FMC, in collaboration with AgNet Media, will award a total of five $5,000 scholarships to students at the University of Florida and Florida Southern College.
Revitalizing Florida’s citrus crop after the effects of citrus greening starts with supporting young adults who are committed to advancing the industry. That’s the aim of FMC CAPS.
“FMC understands how important the next generation is to Florida’s citrus industry,” says Eric Johnson, FMC retail market manager.
Eligible students can apply online by submitting a short video essay addressing industry-specific questions from FMC. Applications are due December 1, and winners will be awarded during Citrus Expo 2020.
