Winter Haven, Fla. (December 15, 2021)—Do you want to be the next Miss America??? You can start by entering the Miss Florida Citrus/Miss Winter Haven Scholarship Competition, which will offer approximately $3,000 in cash and prizes to the top five contestants! The pageant is open statewide throughout Florida and will be held at the Polk State Theatre in Winter Haven, Fla. on January 22, 2022. The event is open to the public and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, with all proceeds benefitting the scholarship competition.
At the Miss Florida Citrus Scholarship Competition, Miss America qualified judges will select winners on the following criteria: Interview, Red Carpet, Talent, and Social Impact Statement. Applicants to the Miss Florida Citrus/Miss Winter Haven Scholarship Competition must be 17-26 years old, a U.S. citizen, and at least a high school senior. The top two contestants will each receive a $1,000 Scholarship (college of choice), a $350 gift certificate towards a $1,000 gown purchase at Regalia Gowns, entry into the 2022 Miss Florida Pageant, an official Miss America crown and trophy and various other prizes, while the three runners-up will receive scholarships ranging from $200 to $500. Our titleholder advances to the Miss Florida Scholarship Program with the chance to increase her scholastic earnings.
